Spring has Sprung!

Well, it might be a few weeks after it's official arrival, but it seems like it wasn't until now that spring has truly sprung.

There's something whimsical about watching a dormant world wake up after a long winter.  The snow starts forming puddles, and melting at the sun's rays.  Underneath is grass that yes, is brown, but will one day soon be greener.  Sure, there may still be another dreaded storm, but hopefully it will stay warmer out now.

And the warm rays of the sun fill me with joy, hope, and excitement at yet another spring that is well on it's way.

The days, too, are getting longer.  I am so happy :)

When winter seems too bleak and too cold and just plain too long, spring always does come, and it is because of HIS mercies that we are able to enjoy it each year.

This afternoon, we took a long, leisurely walk in the puddles. It was…simply put…glorious.

As I was walking, a song kept playing in my ears - See What A Morning.  I don't know why, but it is such a joyful song and this is such a joyful day that I decided it would go well with my walk!  ;)  Here are the lyrics to this theologically-rich, God-glorifying, soul-uplifting, song below.

May you be blessed and encouraged.  {And I hope that spring has arrived or will arrive soon wherever you live, because it sure is nice to feel the warmth of the sun and go splashing in the deep puddles!}

See What A Morning!

See, what a morning, gloriously bright
With the dawning of hope in Jerusalem
Folded the grave-clothes, tomb filled with light
As the angels announce, "Christ is risen"

See God's salvation plan
Wrought in love, borne in pain, paid in sacrifice
Fulfilled in Christ, the man
For He lives, Christ is risen from the dead

See Mary weeping, "Where is He laid?"
As in sorrow she turns from the empty tomb
Hears a voice speaking, calling her name
It's the Master, the Lord raised to life again

The voice that spans the years
Speaking life, stirring hope, bringing peace to us
Will sound till He appears
For He lives, Christ is risen from the dead

One with the Father, Ancient of Days
Through the Spirit who clothes faith with certainty
Honor and blessing, glory and praise
To the King crowned with pow'r and authority

And we are raised with Him
Death is dead, love has won, Christ has conquered
And we shall reign with Him
For He lives: Christ is risen from the dead
