Healthy eating and living is taking care of our bodies, but where to start?  Visit my other website: to find a ton of tips and healthy recipes to get you started!  For now, here is one smoothie recipes you're sure to enjoy!


1 Tbsp. unsweetened coca powder (more or less, to taste)
5 strawberries, frozen or fresh
1 frozen banana, peeled and chopped*
1 Tbsp. flaxseeds, ground
3/4 cup soy or regular milk
1/2 cup plain yogurt (with live active bacterial culture-check the ingredient label to be sure)
5 ice cubes (optional)

Blend on high speed until thick and smooth. I like my smoothies very smooth (they are smoothies, after all!) but very thick, too.  If this is too thick for you, add more milk and blend to desired consistency. Enjoy! 
*freezing bananas: peel 1 banana, place on tray, pop into freezer.  Freeze at least overnight (longer if possible) and chop for smoothie.
