Lately, it's felt like an early spring.

The sun is setting later, and the air has a crisp feel to it.  I know it's only January, but these are the nicest few weeks of winter we've had yet.

I love snow.  It's the perfect reminder that God has washed me and made me whiter than snow (Psalm 51:7)

The snow is melting, slowly but surely, and the once massive piles of it are shrinking before my eyes. I know the snow will be back, but for now, I'm loving the warmer weather!  Sorry for the rambling, I hope you don't mind....

Personally, I think the prairies look so beautiful covered in snow.  The once golden wheat fields are covered with a thick layer of frosty cold white, and everything is sparkling.

It's so amazing to think that the God of all the universe made these beautiful sunrises and sunsets, and that He is faithful...always.  Even in the dead of winter.  He is always waiting to surprise (like surprising us with abnormally sweet weather!).

The barns are so beautiful against the white!  Crimson against white always makes beautiful photos, don't you think?

We went cross country skiing a few days ago and the weather was great.  The sun was shining and the trails were so pretty.  God's creation is marvelous!  Whisking through the trees and gliding down the hills was so. much. fun.
