Five Cool Secrets to Getting Places On Time, Every Time

Most of us can attest to arriving late, at least sometime in our lives.Yet the term “fashionably late” really doesn’t cut it anymore…people expect us to be on time.

Being on time is a HUGE but beneficial skill to learn.(Yes, that’s right, I said ‘skill’.)

Here are five secrets to getting places on time, sanely:

  1. Give yourself twice as much time as you think you need.(For example, if you think it’ll take you fifteen minutes to get to the conference, really make yourself think 30 minutes.)
  2. Make a note to yourself.Whether it be a colorful sticky note on your front door or a huge whiteboard screaming “Leave for ___ at __”, find a sign that works well at reminding you.For me, I chuck the sticky notes and make blaring signs that yell at me.But please do what works for you.
  3. Set a timer for when you need to start getting ready to leave and then for when you need to be in your vehicle.
  4. Get your outfit ready the night before, especially if your event is in the morning.I don’t know about you but for me it is a huge help to not have to worry about picking out clothes right before a big event. It eliminates a ton of stress.
  5. Use a planner to keep track of events and appointments.

These five tips can be life-savers when it comes to being punctual.
