Hello to everyone! Hope you are having a good start to this New Year! :) Today I'm going to be posting about Waking Up Early. Some of you may be saying, Ahhh! while others may be going Hurray! But whether or not you are an early bird, I'm just going to tell you this. It feels so good to be rise early and check off a number of things on your neverending to-do list. 

 

First off, why in the world would someone want to rise early? Honestly, people rise early for different reasons. Some like to have devotions in the morning. Others have farm chores that need to be done. Olympic athletes wake up early to train! Maybe you have something you really want to do, but you just don't "have the time". Try getting up an hour earlier and you can make time for that thing! I like to run, so sometimes I get up early to train or run. So get up early! 

Okay, sure, but how? First, set a time you want to wake up at. (Let's say you are waking up at 8am, and you want to wake up at 7am. The easiest way to do this is to simply wake up 10 minutes earlier each day  and in several days you will be up at 7am.) Next, set an alarm clock and place it several feet away from your bed so you actually have to get up to turn it off! Thirdly, go to bed on time. Fourthly, ask for God's help to wake up, and don't give in to the temptation off pressing snooze! Finally, as soon as you get up make sure you have a plan for the day (set a to-do list the night before so you have a plan). When you start doing something, you don't have time to think about snuggling back into your cozy bed!
