Autumn is, by far, my most favorite season: Crunching on the crisp, colourful leaves while on a walk. Sipping apple cider to warm up after a long day. Reading a book by the cozy candlelight while the days get shorter (and darker). Watching the leaves whip 'round and 'round. Harvesting the bountiful fruits and vegetables from our garden. Thanking God for family, friends, and food at Thanksgiving. Taking strolls under the harvest moon. Autumn is such a beautiful time!

Here are some things you can enjoy only in Autumn:

~Apple Cider. You can find delicious cider recipes online or simply mix apple juice, allspice, cinnamon sticks, and cloves in a pot, bring to gentle boil, remove from heat, strain, and enjoy.

~Breathtaking Fall Walks. Alot of people love to get outside in the summer, when the days are long and warm, however, joggers, bikers, and even walkers enjoy Autumn and the cooler temperatures it brings. After all, no use jogging in 30 above weather.  I always like taking brisk walks in the Autumn since all the colours outside are so pretty!

~Crafts.  The shorter fall days allow for extra time to catch up on hobbies or crafts. A few days ago I finished a hand-sewn quilt that I had been working on most of the summer, and just two days ago I made a cute pillow for my sister (hand sewn as well). Whether you enjoy sewing, paper crafts, scrapbooking, knitting, or any other type of crafting, take advantage of the shorter days and work on a new project!

~Baking. There is something about baking and Autumn. Don't they just go perfectly hand-in-hand?  Honestly, what could be better then warm soup with freshly baked bread on a chilly day in Fall? Autumn is a perfect time to try new recipes and make yummy foods to feed your family and friends! Pumpkin muffins anyone?!

~Reading. Autumn is a great time to catch up on books. If the weather outside is keeping you indoors, turn to your favorite book (and the Bible) to keep you company! I have just finished reading Hell's Best Kept Secret by Ray Comfort. It is an amazing book talking about why Christians aren't witnessing enough and how we can begin to share our faith more! It also discloses what "hells best kept secret" really is. Read it for yourself to find out!

Have a great Autumn!
