Media!  What do you think of when you say "Media"?  I think of Facebook, Youtube, Twitter, blogging, computers, iPods, iPads, Androids, and of course, TV.  Studies show kids spend 55 hours a WEEK playing on the computer/on TV.  There is a lot of good stuff out there, and the media (if used wisely) can be a good opportunity to be a light.  But, there are also alot of bad things on the internet - things we have to navigate around.  Type in anything on google images and 75% of the time an inappropriate picture pops up.  Search something on a google engine and before you know it a spam advertisement comes up saying you've "won" a million dollars.  It doesn't matter if you are looking at good websites - everyone is bound, at one point or another, to come across something bad on the internet.  What about TV?  We don't watch a lot of TV in our house, but sometimes we watch the Olympics or something special like that.  But I've noticed that even with good shows on good stations, the advertisements can be really unclean. Then there's the time factor.  How much time does the TV and computer suck from your life?  I bet more you think!!

So as Christians how can we learn to master the media?  How can we learn to cut down our time spent on media, and how can we learn to use the internet wisely for God's glory? Well, Amy Vest from Loving the Lord Ministries has a few answers for us.  Watch the movie below by clicking the play button.  Not only does she use Scripture to talk to us about how to master the media, she also gives us very practical tips.
