Well, believe it or not, we've come to the end of our blogging series on "Your Room".  I hope you have had just as much fun as me - exploring different ways to organize our rooms, getting decoration ideas, and learning how to cut the clutter!    To wrap up our series of posts, here is what you should have taken away from this experience...Hopefully you have had a chance to put a screeching halt! to your clutter, for as we know all too well, clutter eventually takes over our lives. It's our hope that you also got some tips on how to beautify your room, and reflect your style.

Just last night I was at a girl's house and I was going on and on about how I admired her room.  It was amazing!  I gazed at the walls - a beautiful green - and at their cozy "spaces" where their beds are.  On one side of the wall there was creative, built-in bookcases and the bedroom had two closets.  This girl shared her room with her 9-year-old sister, and they each kept "their" stuff on one side of the room.  Their floor wasn't spotless, but wasn't messy at all.  Their knick-knacks weren't junkie ole ones, in fact they added pizzaz to the room.  As you can tell, I absolutely loved their room.  It was spacious, yet cozy.  Fancy, yet comfortable.  But let me tell you this.  Their house was not very new.  It wasn't a very big house.  As a matter of fact they slept in the basement and the windows weren't massively huge.  The carpet was dated, too.  But as soon as you walked into the girls' room you were flooded with awe - they had made it look so beautiful!

You see, though, dear readers?  You do not need to "have it all".  Even if your rooms don't look like the pictures we've posted, fear not.  You will need to work with your space.  Even though you may not be able to get a new bed, replaced the dated carpet, or buy a new bookshelf, you can spruce it up in other ways.  Are you capturing the vision?  Having a cool room doesn't mean it looks picture-perfect and spotless.  No!  What it does mean is that it reflects your personality.  It's comfortable, and you feel good about inviting friends in to see it.  It's about keeping it relatively clean, but not spotless.  It's about   loving your room, and making it work for you.  Whether you have your own room or share with 5 sisters, get everyone in on the fun and start redoing your room in a way that suits everyone!  Make it work for you, and make it practical and fun.

It's my earnest hope that you've enjoyed the posts as much as I have, and know this: whether you live in a dingy apartment or a millionare's mansion, you have what it takes to make your room pretty and fun!

Absolutely!!! The pictures posted are wonderful, but they also look new and modern....which....not all our houses are. A bit of personality [and organization] can make just about any place look like home.
