We had a very (to say the very least!) eventful weekend, and we had a sleepover with some good friends of ours, Madison and Trista. Last night we went shopping and swimming, and today we played and when to Twelfth Night, an outdoor Shakespeare play. If I strain my ears enough, I can here my younger siblings making a play of their own! But what I'm mostly hearing is the summer storm outside. No, this is not the first storm of the year, it's probably the fourth or fifth (we've had several tornado touchdowns and warnings in Alberta this year). It's really windy, rainy and stormy outside right now, and I'm wondering if the power will go out! I sort of like storms, because there is a Psalm I often think about when a storm hits our way. I also like this first, "He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still." from Psalm 107:29. I'm nice and snug here in my cozy basement, which is also where I sleep, and I think about the people who aren't downstairs in their cozy basements. I know some people by golly don't have one! I thank God for this warm house I live in, and you should, too! Some people have asked what I am doing this summer with my family. Well, we're doing a lot. No vacations planned (yet). But lots of other activities. field trips....friends....relatives....visting....storm watching.....science....and learning about God's creation while enjoying His beautiful outdoors!
Well, I think I said enough for today, but I wish you a really good summer, and enjoy the summer storms while you have them (or at least I will for you!!!!).
"And Jesus said unto them ... , "If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to younder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible to you."
