We all get tired of winter. We long for popsicles, camping, swimming, icecream, and s'mores. Why not have a staycation. A staycation is like a vacation, only in the comfort of your own house or city. Just because you're living life in the fast lane doesn't mean you never get to relax at a pitstop...1 thing we like to do in our family is on friday nights have a sibling sleepover. We exchange beds or have sleepovers in each other's rooms. We all look forward to Friday nights! :D Take a long, warm bath with Epsom salts. Ahhhh... Camp out in the living room. If you have a tent, use it. If not, sleep in sleeping bags on the carpet OR better yet drape some blankets over chairs to make your own tent! Get some wilderness sound effect CDs from the library and turn them on. Roast s'mores over the BBQ or in your oven. Fall asleep in the "great outdoors"! (your living room!) Make your own popsicles (fruit juice: put in popsicle mold or paper cup, freeze until solid) Make icecream from the snow! (snow, whipping cream or 1/2 & 1/2 cream, sugar, vanilla: combine and enjoy as you would real icecream.)Journal and Bible Journal or read a great book.
